Departure for the mission field
February 16, 2011Many would say that where you are is the mission field. I would be the first to agree if all sought to be used where they are. I am not saying that my witness is that of a missionary every day. In fact it always seems easier to witness in a foreign land then at home. Matthew 28: 16 we find the eleven Disciples together. It would at times be nice to be with our strong Christian friends and leave the world to itself. The Lord is about to send them out. Verse 17 is interesting they worshiped but some doubted. Is Doubt wrong? There are times that we all are not sure of where we are let alone where we are headed. I think that Doubt and Faith can work together. There are those who will find theological fault with that concept and that is fine. Please just be real with your heavenly Father. I am not sure of what awaits me in Kenya and Ghana. All I know is verse 19 says “Go”. There it also says “all the nations” which I find interesting. The reason I find it interesting is this is also a word Jesus used in Matthew 24: 14 “all the nations”. Now this seems to be a big task and many can say who do you think you are? Good question, because at times doubt creeps in and I even ask, “who do you think you are and what are you doing so far from home?” Jesus is coming and we are all a part of the plan! Praise the Lord Jesus for the opportunities to take His love to the nations. I want to praise the Lord for the P.U.M.P. Ministries team of Missionaries, Supporters, Prayer Partners, Board Members, and my family. I may be the one that will physically be in Kenya and Ghana but we are all there as a team sharing in the rewards of the harvest that God will bring about. Here we go team!!
